NEW MAILING LIST FOR DISCUSSIONS OF PENSION POLICY
BenefitsLink now sponsors a free Internet mailing list to
share ideas, questions, information and opinions among
people and agencies who are concerned with the status quo
or the direction of pension policy in the United States --
tax, labor, social and any other aspects.
To subscribe:
Use your email software to create a message.
Address the message to: majordomo@bolis.com
Put these words in the text (body) of the message (not
on the Subject line):
subscribe pension-policy@bolis.com
That's it! You'll be subscribed automatically. You can
type your Internet email address after "subscribe
pension-policy@bolis.com", but that's not necessary if
you're sending the message from your own computer.
List subscribers receive (via email) a copy of every other
email message as it is "posted" to the mailing list. (Your
mileage may vary, but generally the mailing list software
will succeed in delivering email to your Internet email
account within a few minutes of the time a message is
posted to the mailing list from anywhere in the world.) The
number of email messages you'll receive from the
Pension-Policy mailing list will vary from day to day,
depending upon how many other people post messages to the
list that day.
If you find the number of daily incoming messages to be
burdensome, you can subscribe to a version of the mailing
list called "Pension-Policy-Digest," which contains the
same messages but in the form of a single message that is
sent to Pension-Policy-Digest subscribers once each day.
To subscribe to the DIGEST (once a day) version:
Use your email software to create a message.
Address the message to: majordomo@bolis.com
Put these words in the text (body) of the message (not
on the Subject line):
subscribe pension-policy-digest@bolis.com
Because the focus of the list is pension policy, please do
not use the list to post questions on topics other than
pension policy.
For information about employee benefits mailing lists that
discuss topics other than pension policy, you might wish to
check this Web page:
http://www.benefitslink.com/system/mailinglists.html
Or use a free public "message board" on the World Wide Web
to post a message on a topic that is unrelated to pension
policy; see the Message Boards link at
http://www.benefitslink.com
Enjoy the new mailing list! --Dave Baker
