Markets in Tours

Tours outdoor market
While visiting the city of Tours you have the opportunity to visit a street market every day of the week , except Monday, which is the normal closing day for shops in France - and this it seems extends to markets - I would have thought that this would probably be the best day for a market - no competition - but hey ho what do I know?

You can choose from fresh produce at Place Beaujardin, Place du President Coty or Fontaines. Search for retro finds at Place de la Victoire on Wednesdays and Saturdays plus there is a superb flower market each Saturday too.

Morning markets

Tuesday: Place St. Paul, Quai Paul Bert, Boulevard Heurteloup

Wednesday: Place de Halles, Place Beaujardin, Place du President Coty, Place Fontaines

Thursday: Rue de Strasbourg, Place Velpeau, Beffroi

Friday: Place St. Paul, Blanqui, Rives de Cher

Saturday: Place de Halles, Place Beaujardin, Place du President Coty, Place Fontaines

Sunday: Rue de Maine, Place Velpeau, Place Rabelais
