Due to limited funding available, applications will be reviewed and assessed based on the eligibility below, financial need, and distribution across a range of disciplines and geographical regions. Bursary amounts are determined based on estimated expenses submitted as part of the application.

Eligibility
  • Priority will be given to students and community members who are already confirmed presenters (including poster presenters)
  • You must be a registered post-secondary student and have completed at least 1 term of your degree/diploma

Conference Equity Policy
C2UExpo 2017 is committed to achieving and maintaining a diverse conference makeup, and to initiating special measures as required to ensure full participation of delegates and presenters from groups that have traditionally been underrepresented, to enable them to access the conference on an equal basis. The groups designated for measurement of conference equity include, but are not limited to, women, Aboriginal peoples, persons with disabilities, racialized or visible minorities, and persons identifying as part of the LGBTQ community.

How will the bursary be distributed?
Bursaries will be awarded in the form of direct payment to C2UExpo 2017 for registration fees. In order to cover travel costs, recipients must pay for all travel expenses up front, and then submit original receipts, boarding passes, etc. for reimbursement.

Application Timeline
Bursary applications are closed. Bursary recipients will have been notified by March 15th, 2017. If you have any questions regarding the C2UExpo 2017 student bursaries, please send them to cuexpo@sfu.ca
